Mountain Biking Navigation

Are you happy riding marked trails or cyclepaths but want to get out and explorer natural tracks and trails but afraid you might get lost?

On this course we’ll look at where you can ride, using a map to plan a route, navigation techniques, relating the map to the ground, some riding skills, trailside repairs and what to do if goes a bit wrong.

You will undertake a planned ride and lead sections of the route to confirm and reinforce your understanding of the navigation skills.

By the end of this course you will be fully equipped with necessary navigation skills to go off and explore on your own.

Tea and cakes will be provided finish.

This is not a riding skills course you should be competent on blue graded trails or natural obstacles before booking. See our Introduction to Mountain Biking skills course.
